Probably our most intense week here at Chalmers. In preparation for our upcoming meeting with our advisor on Tuesday, Monday was spent compiling all of the analysis we have collected over the first 10 weeks. This is first time we have really got an understanding of what the outcome of our results may be.
Our meeting on Tuesday was very successful, with Dr. Yu Cao being very pleased with our progress. She also helped us with the final evaluation of our XRD results. With the meeting we over, we continued with the analysis compilation. We soon realised that some of our results were not as expected, particularly with regards to the XRD and RST results. So much time this week has also been spent with our P.H.D. advisor Giulio Maistro trying to figure out the reasons for our results. We spent time re-running a few investigations as well to confirm some findings.
Some closure regarding an unusual XRD result came today (on Friday) which has allowed us to eventually move on completing the surface hardness and optical microscopy work!
We even found time to for in the first of our two SEM sessions and get up to date with compiling all of work into a final document. 15 000 words and counting...
