First Week!

First week here at Chalmers and we are all excited to get started! We began the week by having a meeting with our supervisor Dr Yu "Emmy" Cao where we were able to discuss the project for the first time and find out what sort of invetigations we would be doing throughout the semester. We were also assigned our offices for the duration of our stay and given a brief tour of the departmenmt and the equipment

we would be using.

We also met our PHD advisor Giulio Maistro who will be our first port of call throughout the project, as our work is an extension of his PHD. We were given a few papers to read the given the untreated samples of the materials that we would be carrying out analysis on.

Today was also the first day we got to start our actual investigations, getting to run some samples on the X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) machine while receiving our licence for it at the same time.
