Frustrating Times

After carrying out the XRD analysis during the previous week, we passed that over to our advisors

for their input this week. So there wasn't much more we could do regarding that set of data. But we had other thing we could crack on with.

We carried out some further RST testing to verify some results. This allowed us to complete the write-up for this section. We also made a start on the next analysis method; optical microscopy. Unfortunately this requires a further mounting, grinding and polishing process on the treated sampled, as well as an additional nickel plating preparation stage.

Frustratingly we weren’t able to complete this as we could not guarantee the time on the required equipment. But we are hopeful of being able to complete the actual analysis next week. We have also made some good progress in putting some of the initial report together!
